Magnolia, DE to Amherst, OH
470 miles 8 hrs 25 minutes
To start, I want to make sure you all know the time I have after the miles is just drive time, so normally tack on about 2 hours and thats the actual time it takes to get from point A to point B, thanks to diaper changes, potty breaks, gas stops, food stops, coffee stops, etc.....
So day one was our drive from Delaware through Maryland and Pennsylvania to Ohio. Nothing too exciting happened that day, other then it was a long day in the car! My Dad's Sister's Daughter (my first cousin) Leslie has a 2 acre farm that includes a dog kennel, chickens, 2 horses some goats and sheep.
We arrived around 9- the kids could care less that we hadn't had dinner yet because there were fireflies to be caught!! We finally lured them in, got a bite to eat, and hit the sack-it had been a long day!
In the morning we were fed a delicious (from their chickens) eggs and bacon breakfast. Then went to church and came home to have lunch, pack up, and hit the road again.
Thank you Leslie and Greg for allowing us to stay the night-it was great visiting with you and its always nice to see family!
